Mary Holmesly


A native of Houston, Texas, Mary has more than a decade of litigation experience defending and prosecuting complex legal, factual, and damage issues in multiple jurisdictions throughout Texas. Mary has represented both plaintiffs and defendants, business entities and individuals, in state and federal court throughout her practice. Mary’s accomplishments include multiple favorable verdicts, summary judgments, and settlements in favor of her clients. She has litigated cases involving offshore drilling rig and platform accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, construction defects, breach of contract, and fraud.  Her maritime experience includes litigating claims arising under the Jones Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act, the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, Carriage of Goods by Sea Act, and the Limitation of Liability Act. She also has experience with the arrest and attachment of maritime property. She has first and second chair trial experience, including cases featuring complex scientific or medical issues, such as spinal and orthopedic injuries, traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other related claims. 

She has been named a “Rising Star” in Maritime and Transportation Law by Texas Super Lawyers.

Mary knows that the client comes first, and it is imperative to understand what a client wants to achieve in litigation. She will work tirelessly to accomplish those goals.
